The workflow

  1. Configure — a user fills a product family's slots with released components and enters dimensions.
  2. Validate — connection, dimension, material, customer and engineering rules run on every change.
  3. Generate CAD — a job is queued; a CAD worker leases it, builds the assembly and uploads outputs.
  4. Route approval — rules decide whether engineering, purchasing, sales, quality, manufacturing or the customer must approve.
  5. Package — STEP, PDF, DXF, BOM, configuration JSON, ERP payload (DWG/IPT/IAM where licensed).
  6. Sync ERP — released configurations are pushed with idempotent, logged operations.
